my cat, mckenzie, who i've had since i was just 8 years old is very sick and in the vet hospital right now. my mom left on vacation and accidentally shut her in a closet that mckenzie never goes into. no food or water for 5 days...
she was kind of doing okay, but wasn't eating or drinking so we took her to the vet hospital. she was severely dehydrated but things weren't looking too bad when we left her there on saturday afternoon.
but it's pretty much snowballed from there. her kidney test levels, which should have come down, haven't at all. then the fluids they were giving her to help her dehydration and kidneys caused her to have a heart murmur. then heart arythmia.
we went to see her today for a while and just pet her and hold her. we left and then a couple hours later, they called us and told us she had a grand mal seizure. we went back and stayed with her, petted her and held her. she's in the hospital still now, getting rest.
i feel so bad. i've had her for so long and she's always been such a sweet and wonderful constant. i wish i could help her. :(
